    To use the ADSL modem / router you will need:

    ADSL is a type of Broadband connection that is permanently connected to the Internet.

    • Pentium 200mhz or compatible

    • 32MB RAM

    • Windows 98/98SE/2000

    • CD-Rom drive

    • 100MB available Hard Drive space

    • 10baseT network card for Router version

    • USB compatible motherboard for USB version

    • BT Telephone Line


    This means you can download software updates; read large e-mails that would normally take hours to download; or anything else you can do on your existing service - any time of the day for as long as you like - plus without the worry of Internet call charges or any time restrictions at all.

    ADSL allows digital data to be sent and received over your existing BT telephone line by using a new technique of transferring data.

    ADSL uses the same BT line as your fax/telephone without interfering; make calls while on the Internet over a single telephone line, without the need to change your telephone/fax number. A "splitter" will be fitted which separates the telephone signals from the DSL data signals.
